farewell sweet T. Dot 1 June 2010

i’m sitting now on the command deck of our bus, though i keep being corrected and informed it’s a “lounge”. can’t blast klingons in lounge position…

and i’ve already forgotten to date this entry in the captains log.

so this is our first night on the bus as we embark on the first official “CHAMP: Panoramic Booty Call” tour. we’re playing a special show for some friends in new york tomorrow and then we start up with passion pit, who are all good friends of ours. except for that guy who plays the keyboards…

so what’s it like on our bus? graham is playing mr. tambourine man on the uke and greg is abiding the lyric by tapping along on his bourine-ed tam. we’re already halfway the first bottle of red wine, having thought better of smashing it on the front of the bus in ceremony. bus company would not have been psyched. nor would star fleet.

so if you’re coming if you’re coming to see us/passion pit on the tour then great, and if we’re not coming to you on this tour then don’t worry because we’re gonna be touring “CHAMP: Let The Good Times, Troll…” for a long time.

speaking of which, let us know if you have any good tour names. “passion pit support tour” isn’t blowing my mind, and we need a title worthy of the tours’ awesomeness. will anything ever top the strokes’ “wicked sceptre” tour?

stay tuned for VLOGS>>>>>>>>>>

talk soon,

dave

I’m dying to see you live but I think it’s gonna take a looong time until you come to Mexico City :(
I love CHAMP. The waiting was so much worth it. I’ve been listening to it nonstop, you should check my lastf profile, I think I’m your top listener #1 there. End of a spark and Bambi are my faves so far.
Good luck with the tour :D

Ahh I wanna see you guys so badly! :( But your Boston show is 18+… :(
Hmm… tour names…. Anything The Strokes do can not be topped, so lower your expectations ;)

I was really REALLY disappointed to see that you were playing in Tuscon (AZ) instead of the Phoenix area…and even more so when I saw that it was 21+! I know you guys don’t have control over a lot of these things, but you have a lot of fans in Phoenix (emphasis on Tempe!) that are under 21. If you could make an all ages show in Phoenix area happen, please do. This will be your first Arizona show that I’ll miss. Emoticons cannot express my sadness.

Ahh!! I am so excited for the tour, but so upset because Passion Pit and you guys are my both favorite bands, buuuuut I cant goto the shows in New York, I’m going on some lame cruise instead. I’d rather see TPC and PP any day over some silly old cruise. Anyway, some tour names, ehh? How about : We stalk Passion Pit, stalk along! or Follow the Beards tour (Because they mostly have beards! GET IT! GET IT! aaah ima quit trying to be funny now)
Good luck Dave!

So stoked for the St. Louis show with Passion Pit. I’m also seeing you at Bonnaroo next week! And then I’ll be traveling to Chicago to see your last show of your headliner. Three TPC shows, all in different cities, in one year? FUCK YES!

Tour Name: Champ: A tribute to Queen tour ["We Are The Champions" anyone???] And then the people who haven’t heard of you will expect to see some lame Queen cover band but instead their faces will be melted off by the glorious rock that you shall unleash. Pretty good surprise, eh?

SEE YOU SOON!

I second Jennifer’s idea >:o!
