Down The River of Golden Blogs...

Its hot in California, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. We’ve played some very sweaty shows out here, as the tour marches inexorably forward towards its climactic conclusion in New York City. But thats not for another couple of weeks, and we’ve got lots of ground to cover and lots of sleep to miss out on.

As everyone probably knows by now, we just signed a record deal with the folks at Saddle Creek out in Omaha. These ladies and gentlemen are some of the very finest I’ve ever met, and we’re all pretty thrilled to be working with them. They also just built their own venue, offices, apartments, and move theatre, so clearly they’re handy with a hammer and nails.

Its hard to think of exciting things to blog about… Everybody tell me your favorite colour, your favorite member of The Monkees, and one interesting fact about your hometown.

    Seafoam (or any variation of green and blue), Davy Jones cause he’s so dreamy, and Tennessee Williams was born in my hometown.

  10. Blue!, Thorkelson because he had a starring role as Topanga Lawrence’s father on Boy Meets World, and my hometown celebrates Tokyo Police Club Day..not really but that would be amazing my towns lame its full of wangsters who don’t know any better. Seeya in Boston!

    Fools Gold, Daver, My hometown is a great northwestern city called Port Townsend… It’s in Washington State, and lets just say if al was right, i would drown… Whatta shame! I heard Drew Barrimore (sp) just bought a place here.
