Studio Diary!

Dateline, Connecticut.
As I’ve mentioned, our only recording experiences thusfar have been brief affairs. Seven songs in three days, three songs in two days, one song in one day, that sort of thing. We’re accustomed to getting a lot done, and so its very discomfiting to spend an entire day working and have nothing to show for it. Which is where we found ourselves today. We spent the day working on a song called Sixties Remake that we wrote back in January, making it one of the oldest of our new songs. We’ve been playing it live since then, so naturally we thought that it would be the easiest song to start with. And then we spent ten hours working on it.
Not that we didn’t get anywhere. We made some changes to the song, and its all ready to record. We just couldn’t get a take that we were happy with, so we’re leaving it until tomorrow morning when presumably we’ll all be fresh and nail it. Its not a bad way to work, but it will take some getting used to.
See you tomorrow!
