News you can use!

30 August 2006

Hi there, boys and girls. A few items that may be of interest to you:

1. Our brand new T shirts will be available in the shop within the next couple of days. We just brought them home from the hospital, and they’re looking lovlier every day. Each and every one is looking for a good home, so get ready to adopt the cutest one.

2. Tickets for our prophecied Toronto homecoming at Sneaky Dees are now available for purchase at Rotate This in Toronto. Sneaky’s has the best steak sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, and their nachos are pretty special too, so I suggest coming early and grabbing a bite.

3. We’re putting the finishing touchs on the artwork for our fancy vinyl record thing, so look for a release date on that soon as well. We’re actually cooking up a few surprises for our upcoming tour, so keep your eyes peeled to see what we actually finish and what gets left by the wayside, like so many discarded fast food packages.

4. I’m looking to update the random pictures section of the website, so if anyone has any pictures of us or of other things that you think are interesting, send them them to graham@tokyopoliceclub.net. They’ll need to be a maximum of 500 pixels in width, and please make sure you own the copyright on them so that I don’t get into trouble. Also, the randomness of the photo section makes it hard to give proper credit, so feel free to put your name/website/etc somewhere on the photo (as unobtrusivley as possible).

Thats all for today. We’re gearing up for the next three months at the moment, so TPC headquarters is buzzing with activity (sort of). We’ll keep you posted, and if you have any questions feel free to hit up our message board and we’ll answer them when we have a spare minute. Until then, keep your head up and your stick on the ice.

More Tour Dates

13 August 2006

The road goes ever onward, as the saying goes, and so does the Tokyo Police Club. A quick jaunt over to the shows section will reveal several more tour dates, a few in Canada and a quick run through the United States with Art Brut as well. Of course, there are still many more dates to come, and we’ll keep you posted here.
