Coachella and SXSW
23 January 2007
hi, we are thrilled to tell you all that we’re playing coachella on friday april 27th. interpol and bjork are playing that day aswell. more information is available at the coachella website. generally i think this festival is regarded as one of the most exciting in the world. if you don’t live in california, i suggest you make a roadtrip with your friends to the festival cause it will be worth it. its the kind of thing i would plan to do with my friends all the time but never actually got around to. but maybe you are more proactive than me. if you really can’t go, then wait until we get back form it and i’ll tell you how it was.
Also, we are playing sxsw this year in austin TX. we’ll announce the specific shows and parties we’re playing soon. in toronto they hold a festival called north by north east every year. while it gets an A+ for effort, we’re told sxsw is far more ludacris. oh those texans…. love, dave

CAKE FOR GRAHAM!
23 January 2007
So it seems there has been a glut of blogging recently, but despite my constant requests, entreaties, and threats at band practice over the last few days, no one deigned to mention that a certain special someone has a big day coming up.
That special someone is of course me, your favorite indie rock keyboardist since whoever the last guy who got to the first rehearsal after all the cool instruments were taken was. And the day is my birthday!
I’m going to be celebrating this year in Paris, playing a show at La Boule Noir. And if you want to bring me cake, please feel free/obliged to do so. I love cake, and getting to eat some even though my mom is miles and miles away would really make my birthday special. Cupcakes, brownies, and cookies are also welcome. And I don’t know if putting drugs in baked goods is popular in France, but I am a straight shooter so you can skip that step and save yourself some money in the process.
See you in Paris!
Love, Graham
ps. Speaking of birthdays, it was Dave’s on Sunday, so lets all wish him a happy birthday retroactively. You can bring him cakes, too, but I might eat them.

Those terrible sounds coming from your radio...
23 January 2007
... might just be us! That’s right everyone, Nature of the Experiment is now being played semi-regularly on Toronto station 102.1 The Edge and is holding rank #10 on their Thursday 30 Countdown. We, for one, are simply amazed by this and would like to devote a portion of this blog to thanking everyone (especially moms) who have taken their time to request and vote for us! (We can only spend so long voting for ourselves, so we’re glad you all took the initative and helped us out). If you would feel so inclined as to vote for us again (or for the very first time) you may do so here. Again, we thank everyone and hope that you don’t get sick of our music quite yet.
PS: For those of you who were less than pleased to hear our horrible racket on their radio recievers, you can sign a petition here to help take our song off of rotation. Make sure you include our song and band name in all three “complaint” slots to mazimize your greivance’s value.

News and American Dates
9 January 2007
Hello, This is my super offical announcement of our upcoming tour with Cold War Kids. Its happening. Its wonderful. All the dates are posted on aptly titled “Upcoming Shows” section. We suggest you make yourself present at any show in your geographic locale, lest you be the subject of torment and ridicule from your peers and elders alike. We are also currently working on new material in Josh’s basement – a process which involves general noisiness punctuated by frequent breaks for sparring, wildlife trivia, pizza, and YouTube. Soon this will result in a record. Also, we just shot a video for “Cheer It On” – our next single. It was shot in a feild in Syracuse by Bijan Shams and features us being cold outdoors. We think it will turn out really well after post production. Keep well, Dave
