The Dawning of a New Age

Thats right, folks. The Tokyo Police Club is joining the 21st century and buying into this ‘internet’ phenomenon. I predict that this fad will die out soon, but for as long as teenagers are using this medium to “surf” and “chat”, I figure that we had better get a piece of the action.
So here it is, the brand new Tokyo Police Club internet website. As far as websites go, things are pretty straightforward. Here in the NEWS section, you can find all the latest breaking stories about our whereabouts and subversive activities. The INFO section features the story behind the story, so you can study up and impress your friends with your intimate knowledge of a band that nobody has heard of. Visit the MUSIC section to read the poetic lyrics of Mr. David Monks, and sing along with your favorite TPC songs. Audio will be streaming in said section shortly, but for now it links to our trusty old MySpace page for listening purposes. Enjoy looking at pictures that are matched up with unrelated sentences? We know you are, so take a peek at the RANDOM section, which will be updated regularly with more pictures of us and other things we’re fond of. Interested in viewing Tokyo Police Club in a live setting? The SHOWS section has all the information you need. And we wouldn’t be an indie band if we weren’t making a desperate grab for your hard earned money, so mosey over to the SHOP and do just that. Right now all that is available is our EP A Lesson in Crime, but over time we’ll be adding T shirts, pins, and other goodies. And, last but not least, the BOARD is a forum for all of your discussion. Talk amongst yourselves, and talk to the band (we’re nerds, and will spend inordinate amounts of time reading it, so be nice) as well as a slightly maniacal robot.
And there you have it. Information that you could have easily figured out by clicking on the links in question, described to you in detail that you couldn’t possibly need. No, you can’t have this minute of your life back. But you are encouraged to enjoy our website, possibly with a nice frosty glass of milk and some cookies.
